Abstract
This study aimed to determine the extent of challenges in the implementation of Modular Distance Learning in Old Balara Elementary School, Division of Quezon City school year 2021-2022.
The following were salient findings. The challenges in the implementation of modular distance learning were in the moderate extent. (2.23). There were no significant differences between the perceptions of the teacher's school administrator in the extent of the implementation of the challenges in the modular distance learning. The advantages in the implementation of the modular distance learning were in the moderate extent. (2.02). The disadvantages were rated in the moderate extent (2.23). The problems encountered in the implementation were serious (2.39). The proposed plan to enhance the implementation was formulated.
The implementation of the challenges failed to meet the maximum standard as it was necessary to respond to the needs of the learners. The perception of the teacher and school administrator did not contradict each other as they were on the same level. The advantages failed to meet maximum standard of implementation of the challenges of modular distance learning. The disadvantage did not highly affect the implementation of the challenges of modular distance learning as it was in the minimum degree. The problems encountered by the teachers were very much contributory to the success and effective implementation of the modular distance learning and the formulated action plan to enhance the implementation was proposed. The teachers and school administrator should work in hand together to implement the challenges to respond to the needs-based scenario of each learner. They should use the modular distance learning efficiently considering the advantages to meet the maximum standard for the benefit of the learners.
