Abstract
This study aimed to determine the acceptability of Self-Learning Modules (SLM) in English (1st Quarter) for primary grades (Grades 2 and 3) with reading difficulties and its acceptability. The was conducted during the SY 2020-2021 in Maligaya Elementary School. It includes in its scope the Teachers assessment on the implementation of Self Learning Modules (SLM) the Alternative Delivery Mood (ADM) in English and perceptions with regards to objectives, content, clarity, language style, presentation, activity, navigation, usefulness and manner of administration of the Self Learning Modules used amidst this COVID-19-pandemic. Reading pertains to the development of a student’s capacity to absorb, understand and grasp various lesson content and ideas. The questions were constructed based on the problems of the study. The study utilized the Descriptive correlational research method, on the other hand the respondents were chosen using purposive sampling technique. As offshoots of the results of the study it is hereby recommended that teachers having similar problem in their pupils’ performance due to various diagnosed reading difficulties should utilize the various learning approach to facilitate the development of their pupils’ skills and inculcate the love for learning through the use of the pupils innate interest and curiosity. It is also suggested to teachers having similar problem in their students’ academic achievement due to diagnosed reading difficulty to assess test results to provide specific topics to be focused on. And, teachers should be able to utilize the digital learning resources, which emphasizes the real-world applications of various vital skills. They should be able to join trainings and webinars which will enhance their digital literacy which will facilitate the online learning.
