Abstract
Learning Style is an essential factor as it greatly influences the teaching strategies, techniques, and styles of every teacher. Also, it affects learners' academic performance not only in Araling Panlipunan but also in other subjects. Knowing the learning styles of learners will help them process and retain new information skills.

In this study, the goal is to determine the learning styles and academic performances of selected Grade 10 students at Maligaya High School. Consequently , the research determined the perceived learning styles classified as : visual, tactile, auditory, group, kinesthetic, and individual.

A total of 61 learners participated in the research. The descriptive survey method was utilized to obtain the necessary data and was based on Reid's Perceptual Learning Style Preference (1987).

Based on the results of the research, the learners' perceptual learning style and preference obtained the following weighted mean: Visual with 4.98 Group with 4.03, Auditory with 4.02, Kinesthetic with 3.9, tactile with 3.74, and individual with 3.6 . The Findings revealed that the learners' perceptual learning style and preference must be importance when writing a lesson plan and making learnings aids/materials. Such a factor will help the learners process new ideas, information , skills. It is also understandable that because of the preferred learning styles of the learners, teachers should be flexible in utilizing suitable teaching strategies, techniques, and styles so that they can provide a motivating learning environment. The results of the research also reveal the many educational implications when perceptual learning styles and preferences of learners are considered in the teaching practice. Also, a recommendation for future research on learning style and teaching style was proposed.
