Abstract
There are many pieces of research that prove the positive effect of the parental involvement in the academic and school of the pupils. They found that parental involvement whether in school or through their assistance in the study of their children increase the academic performance of the child (Topor, et al 2010). Some researcher have seen found the correlation between the degree of parents' participation and students' academic achievement (Lara, L. Saracosstti, M,, 2019).

This study was conducted to find out relationship between parental and family involvement in Mathematics and the Grade IV Pupils' performance on this subject. The study sought to discover and asses the parental involvement and the mathematics performance of the Grace IV pupils. Specifically, this research sought to answer the following questions: What is the academic performance of grade 4 students in : Addition , Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division; What is the level of parental and family involvement in Mathematics subject? And is there a significant relationship between academic performance and parental involvement?

The result showed that a substantial increase in the performance of the pupils as observed on the mean difference of 12.50 between pre-test and post-test for addition., While substantial increase the performance of the pupils as observed on the mean difference 19.40 between pre-test and post-test for subtraction. Also, the result shown a substantial increase in the performance of the pupils as observed on the mean difference of 19.30 pre-test and post-test in multiplication and. also substantial increase in the performance of the pupils as observed on the mean difference of 17.70 between pre-test and post-test in division.

While the assessment of parents and their families on their involvement in Mathematics subject rated involved with a composite weighted mean of 3.01 On the question no.3 , the result showed that there is no significant relationship between pre and post-test and parental involvement.

The findings from this study contribute to the field by describing the relationship of parental involvement and students' performance in Mathematics.
