Abstract
The aim of this study is to continue the education of junior and senior high school
students in Juan Sumulong High School through collaborative online remediation classes in
mathematics for the school year 2020-2021.
researchers used the quasi-experimental method to determine the performance of
students in doing remediation activities, how these activities affect their progress p per grade
level, and to identify if there is a significant difference in the academic performance of the
students after accomplishing remediation activities.
Based on the results of this study the usage of the activities in the remediation program
elps tne students perform better in mastering the given lesson. Also, it shows the performance
of the Students in pretest and post test scores under the remediation class for the first to fourth
quarter. It shows that the post test has a positive difference from the pre-test. This indicates that
there is a difference between the two scores. Thus, it reveals that the activities given after the
pretest have a positive effect on the post test scores of the students.
The study reveals that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest
scores during the first to fourth quarter. This concludes that that there is a significant difference
in the academic performance of students after the remediation activities in the first to fourth
quarter. Considering the findings of the study, the following recommendations are hereby
presented: In this time of pandemic, where students are not into a formal classroom setup
Mathematics teachers should use the remediation class to enhance the students' knowledge
about simple mathematical concepts especially to those students who are not excelling
mathematics. Mathematics teachers should explore more about the google forms and other appilcations to engage the students actively: Mathematics Teachers should use other quarters
he school year to enhance more of the students who are lagging, Lastly, since a certify em
n google classroom is used in this study future researchers can study the effect of the trials
made by the students to have an effect towards their scores in the remediation class
