Abstract
P. Bernardo High School is a small School in Cubao, Quezon City that 872 students consider their second home. For the last three years, the school has experienced an average of 26 students leaving school before the academic year is over. The study was conducted to identify the reasons why the students withdraw from school early. The respondents are the Grade 7 and Grade 8 repeaters that comprise 75% of the yearly dropout rate. Using descriptive quantitative and qualita methods, simple statistical techniques were used to interpret data gathered. The results showed that family problems, peer influence, teacher concerns, inability to read, and poverty are the main reasons why they leave. The establishment of a Dropout Prevention Committee, and the use of the proposed action plan that were based from the result of the study are recommended
