Abstract
This study was conducted with the purpose of finding out whether there is a significant influence of parenting styles and behavioral compliance to school policies of parents and students in Jose P. Laurel Sr. High School during the school year 2020-2021. It was a descriptive survey and correlational study which involved 350 parents and students. Questionnaires were availed to gather the data needed. Frequency count, percentage, weighted mean, chi-square and Pearson-r were employed to arrive at precise and valid results. The findings of the study revealed an authoritative style as their form of parenting their children and student-respondents showed a high level of compliance in terms of following school policies. It was found out that the test of differences showed a high level of compliance in terms of following school policies. It was found out that the test of differences showed no significant results in the perceived parenting style and student's level of behavioral compliance when they are grouped according to their profiles. There is also no correlation on the type of parenting style and student's level of behavioral on the type of parenting style of the respondents to the student's level of behavioral compliance to school policies.
