Abstract
Distance Learning was implemented to address the educational needs of all learners during the COVID - 19 pandemic . Teachers were faced with a great challenge on how to ensure the delivery of educational services to regular and special students alike .

This study investigated on the Level of Preparedness of Receiving Teacher in the Distance Learning Set - up . It is a qualitative research that aimed to use the results in drafting an Inclusive Education ( IE ) Guidebook .

Thirty ( 30 ) Receiving teachers were given a survey questionnaire . Only 9.2 % of respondents showed confidence in their familiarity with regards to the type of disability of SPED Learners . They positively recognize their roles as a receiving teachers in the Distance learning Set up . Encouraging students to enjoy learning was the most highly considered role ( 96.7 % ) while discipling SPED students for undesirable class behaviors was least considered ( 63.3 % ) .

18.3 % of the respondents were not familiar with Accommodation Strategies and Techniques , while only 3.8 % of respondents showed high level of preparedness and confidence in this aspect . To improve and increase their level of preparedness , these are the possible contents of the Distance Learning IE Guidebook Draft : I. DepEd Mandates on Inclusive Education

II . Description , Background and Characteristics of SPED Students

III . Roles of Receiving Teachers
IV . Modification Strategies and Accommodation Techniques with Emphasis on Distance Learning
V. Self Assessment Checklist

A write - shop activity is necessary to fill in the contents of the Distance Learning IE Guidebook and to produce a material for Teacher's Professional Development . A follow up study may be done to assess the effectivity of the this Guidebook .
