Abstract
This study aims to investigate the impact of teacher-made activity sheets on the fifth- grade learners' academic performance in English in a selected public school in Quezon City. The study used the descriptive- co- relational method of research wherein the standardized instrument called Efficacy of Teacher-made Instructional Materials (TIMM) Questionnaire was utilized as the primary data gathering tool. The 32 respondents of the study were composed of learners with different performance levels. The results of the study revealed a great impact of teacher-made activity sheets on the learner's academic performance in English. The data also revealed learners somewhat agree on the benefits they get from the teacher-made activity sheets. The findings of the study indicated that teacher- made activity sheet correlate to the learner's academic performance. It is concluded that teachers themselves should prepare the learning materials that are tailored on the needs of the learners. Thus, it is highly recommended that teachers should make the learning materials more engaging, beneficial and ICT-based to improve the academic performance of the learners in English. Future research must be conducted on the impact of teacher-made activity sheets in other learning areas on the academic performance.
