Abstract
The major problem of this study was to evaluate the impact of parental involvement on learners' academic performance in one elementary school in Quezon City. The study used the descriptive-correlation research design in which standardized instruments were the primary data gathering tool. The respondents of the study were the 315 parents of the learners from grade 1 to grade 6. The data were presented using tables, and the results of the study were tabulated and processed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPPS). The results of the study revealed that the respondents often utilized parental involvement on the learners' academic performance with the following indicators: (1) Parental Encouragement, (2) Parent-Child Communication, (3) Parent-Teacher Communication. The data also revealed that, on average, Parent-Teacher Communication has the highest percentage of 15.7, parental encouragement with 10.4 percent, and parent-child communication with 6.4 percent. The findings of the study indicated that parent-teacher communication bears the highest impact but still, together with the other two sub-variables, the three did significantly influence the learners' academic performance. Thus, the study rejected the null hypothesis, which stated that parental involvement does not exert a significant impact on the learners' academic performance.
