Abstract
The study aimed to know the extent of the implementation of the Red Cross Youth activities for disaster risk preparedness of Sta. Lucia High School: basis for a proposed Basic Learning Education for Student Safety (B.L.E.S.S), 2018-2019. The study hope to prove the fact that Red Cross Youth activities are well implemented.

The main objective of this study is to empower the students of Sta. Lucia High School as regards to disaster preparedness and strengthen the capacity of Red Cross Youth volunteers to become the ears, eyes, hands and feet of Sta. Lucia High School during disasters and calamities as our forefront volunteers in assisting and helping the vulnerable individual.

The study used documentary analysis, observations, unstructured interviews, and self-made survey questionnaires to be able to determine the extent of the implementation of the Red Cross Youth activities for disaster risk preparedness of Sta. Lucia High School: Basis for a Proposed Basic Learning Education for Students Safety (B.L.E.S.S) professed by stakeholders from teachers and different clubs/ organizations for the school year 2018-2019. The sources of data for this study were SSG President, RCY Grade 9 level adviser, Grade 10 teacher and RCY instructor who is also a Grade 10 student. The responses they did had indicated on the survey questionnaire were collated, tabulated and treated statistically. These were interpreted and inferences were drawn accordingly.

The salient findings derived from respondents coming from stakeholders of different clubs and organizations. Ten (10) respondents affirmed their observations as to the implementation of RCY activities for disaster risk reduction in school. The mean average of the results implied that all RCY activities for Disaster Risk Reduction is highly implemented.

All of the respondents has underwent training in different level, genders were equally divided. Most of them were on the teen age bracket. Almost all of the respondents agree that the RCY preparations/ activities of the disaster risk reduction was highly implemented in the Sta. Lucia Highly School. With the aid of the RCY first aiders team, rescue team and other members who truly serve without asking any remunerations. The RCY activities for disaster risk reduction was evident except the trained to be rescuer which is implemented with the lowest rank among the activities
