Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine if the Online Reading Intervention positively affects and improves students' reading capabilities or handicaps in the division is on the rise. The alarming rise has prompted the English supervisor and teachers to take positive steps and work together to minimize, if not eradicate the menace. The superintendent of the division of city schools formed a task force composed of the supervisor and selected teachers of English to craft the reading remediation/program and the new design for curriculum materials; the result was the Online Reading Intervention Program. The gata gathered were done by comparing pre and post-test results of the selected students, which were graded as "Frustrated" level by the Phil-IRI pre-test result. Before implementation of ORIP, the reading level ratios of the selected students were 12:4:2, indicated respectively as slow, average and fast readers; After implementation of ORIP, however, the ratio of the selected students became 4:10:6, indicated respectively as slow, average and fast readers. The result of the study proved that the Online Reading Intervention Program is an effective means of improving a student's reading levels.
