this action research entitled. «Efectiveness of Proiect MD in Enhancing the skills of
n pupls in Multiplication and Division of San Gabriel Elementary School", had heen
the researcher's way of addressing one very common problem among pupils in mathematiCs
Lrom Grade One up to Grade Six. The purpose of the study is to delve into some specific
techniques and strategies which can be use or employed to address the problem in
multiplication and division skills.
The researcher made use of the descriptive design of research as it evaluated the
effectiveness of several ways to improve pupil's multiplication and division skils in
Mathematics VI. Documentary analysis and observation were also utilized as instrument of
the research. Moreover it was made use of purposive sampling technique and exclusively for
+> pupils of section Argon under the study. The teacher use of flash card 10 minutes
everyday before the start of the lesson proper of multiplication and division. Likewise with
the skip counting by 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, 6's, 7's, 8's, 9's, 10's were found very effective in
bringing about remarkable improvements in the multiplication and division skills of the
respondents, as evidence by the posttest wherein 45 or 100 of the respondents all got an
MPS ranging from 75% to 100%.
