Abstract
The least learned competency identified from the result of the First Quarter Summative Test in English 9 for the school year 2021-2022 was to express permission, obligation and prohibition using modals. The said process, necessitates innovative remedial instruction for it has been labeled as one of the most essential learning competencies under the new normal in education. As such, it is a prerequisite skill to pass the current level and to advance to the next one; hence, a teacher-made Electronic Strategic Intervention Material (E-SIM) was created.
The Project was implemented through the proponent initiative, with support from the Department Head and volunteer Grade 9 Teachers. With the vast information available online, the proponent equipped himself by tuning in webinars, lectures, video tutorials, and the likes in conceptualizing and developing the material. This was carried out at Ismael Mathay Sr. High School along with the Grade 9 learners as the primary target beneficiaries.

The Innovation Project took three (3) months, from December 2021 to March 2022, which included the pre-implementation,during implementation, and post-implementation period. Since the proposed material was electronic in format, the cost of printing was not necessary. But in crafting the material, an internet connection was needed which cost 1,600 pesos for the whole one month.
