Abstract
This descriptive study was conducted with the main objective improving
effectiveness of electronic strategic intervention material (ESIM) using games as strategy in
teaching Grade I Mathematics.
The rese archer chose 40 Grade I pupils of Maligaya
Elementary School only. The study was done during the SY 2020-2021.
A researcher made ESIM that underwent process of validation and plot testing was
utilized in collecting data. The initial draft of the rese arch instrument was prepared and
preseted to the school research coordinator for correction and suggestions. It was jurtner
vaiiaea by experts in the feld of education. Revisions of the instrument were made in
Order to incorporate the suggestion provided by the mentioned individuals. Statistical tools
like weighed mean frequency and percentage distribution mean, were used to analyze the
data. Strict ethical principles like, ingformed consent and school confidentiality were strictly
observed during the conduct of the study.
The results of the study shows the results of the pre-test of both controlled and
experimental groups. It can be gleaned that the controlled group with a mean of 8.08 and
standard deviations of 2.37 and the experimental group with a mean of 3.9l and a standard
deviation equivalent of 2.27 are said to be in the beginning levels as described.

Teachers having problens in their students' academic achievement shouid ue the
developed Electronic Strategic Intervention Material, It is also suggested to assess et
results to address the specific topics to be focused on.
Administrators should enhance their faculty profle through edhucational
incenties. Instruct faculty members be innovative and devise new ways of deliverig te
lessons to the student, encourage everyone to utilize more transformational ways
teaching that will abide to the 21st century teaching ideologies.
parent should assist the faculty and the school through contirual ho
monitoring and supervision of the learning process of their child.
Ihis paper recommends that teachers having problems in their students academic
