Abstract
The advent of the 21" century ushered the utilization of technology in classroom instruction. This study determined whether the use of audiobook could impact the students' reading comprehension and their disinterested behavior in reading.

This study used the quasi-experimental research design utilizing a mixed method approach with fifteen (15) paired samples for experimental and control groups. The experimental group was exposed to the treatment for the last two quarters while the control group was taught the conventional way. The findings of the study revealed that students who were taught using the audiobook with text performed better than the other group as reflected in their post- test scores. However, the retention test given to the two groups further proved that both audiobook and conventional, yielded no significant difference in the test scores, meaning students could retain concepts learned whether they are taught in either of the strategies. The findings validated that the use of audiobook with text as an alternative delivery mode for teaching literature is effective in improving the comprehension of learners.
