Abstract
The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Project SLR (Storytelling as a Love for Reading) Towards Improved Reading Comprehension Level Among Grade Three Pupils. The mixed method of research was utilized with the use of an interview guide and survey questionnaire to answer the problems presented. Based on the pre-reading and post-reading scores, a mean difference of 2.72 was found indicating the remarkable increase of the pupils' reading comprehension. Thus, the utilization of Project SLR strategy significantly improved reading comprehension of the grade 3 pupils employed in the study. It was recommended that the Project SLR strategy be used in Fairview Elementary School particularly among struggling readers in the grade one to three level with the strong support of the school for additional funds/resources.
