Abstract
The presence of struggling readers among graders has a significant impact on students' academic performance. Educators continue to develop new strategies to address the demands of children's reading deficits so that they can perform better in other aspects of their lives.
Every Learner's success is a shared responsibility of both teachers and parents. It is critical for parents to be active in their children's reading development so that sufficient follow-up can be done to supplement what the teachers are doing to help struggling readers. There are female respondents than male; majority of the respondents are in the early adulthood; most of the respondents are in the early adulthood; most of the respondents were married; most of the respondents finished elementary and high school; vending is the occupation of most respondent; and majority of the respondents have 3-4 children.
parents are involved to a high extent in the reading success of their children in terms of parenting, communicating, volunteering, and learning at home. The involvement of parents on the reading success of their children. on the other hand, sex, educational attainment, occupation, and number of children. on the other hand, age, civil status and grade level of the children have no significant relationship with their involvement. There are challenges encountered by the respondents in their involvement in the reading success of the learners. Lack of the time is the foremost problem faced by the respondents in their parental involvement.
Parents should always be involved in the academic endeavors of their child by providing ample reading materials at home, maximizing the use of technology-based instructional materials and the use of social media. Parents should be properly oriented on the importance and extent of their involvement. Teachers should be properly equipped with the latest and innovations in involving the parents in any scholastics activities of the learners especially in reading.
