Abstract
The main problem of this study was to evaluate the impact of school learning environment on the third grade learner's academic performance in a selected public school in Quezon City. The study employed the descriptive co-relational method of research wherein standardized instruments were used as the primary data gathering tool. The 306 respondents of the study were composed 149 learners, 149 parents and 8 teachers in the third grade level of a selected public school. The data was presented using tables and the results of the study were tabulated and processed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPPS). The result of the study revealed an extremely significant rating in school learning environment in terms of teacher's role. The school learning environment in terms of learner's/peers' roles and the classroom atmosphere and activities have both very significant training. The data also revealed the school learning environment in terms of the learner's/peers roles is the highest predictor of academic performance followed by the classroom atmosphere and activities and finally the teacher's role. The findings of the study indicated that school learning environment exerts significant effect on academic performance. Thus, the null hypothesis of the study which states that the school learning environment does not exert significant impact on learner's academic performance is hereby rejected.
