Abstract
Developing a strategic intervention material is one of the needs of our educational
system today. Because of the growing number of struggling learners in Mathematics, I do
believe that the development of the SIM and other related instructional materials is really
significant. Strategic Intervention Material is an instructional material which uses a creative
ways of presenting the competency/skills which need to master by the student. The proponent
really believed that students will encourage themselves to learn using the material.
Solving real life problems involving right triangles requires the knowledge of some
significant terms such as line of sight, angles of elevation and angles of depression. So it is
important for the students to master this skill for them to be able to become a better word
problem solver in mathematics.
The primary purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of developed and
