Abstract
7his descriptive study was conducted with the main objective improving teachers
leadership proficiency through contextualized leadership mentoring in the new landscape of
education researcher. 100 teachers from Maligaya Elementary School in the School
Division of Ouezon City participated as respondents of he study who
were
selected using purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted during the SY 2020-
2021.A researcher made questionnaire that underwent process of validation and pilot testing
was utilized in collecting data. The initial draft of the research instrument was prepared and
presented to the school research coordinator for correction and suggestions. It was further
validated b experts in the field of education. Revisions of the instrument were made in order
to incorporate the suggestion provided by the mentioned individuals. Statistical tools like
weighted mean frequency and percentage distribution mean, were used to analyze the data.
Strict ethical principles like, informed consent and school confidentiality were strictly
observed during the conduct of the study. This paper recommends that since the teacher
respondents rated very high in their transformational leadership they may be encouraged to
share their transformational skills with their colleagues with leadership potentials. It is
hereby recommended to organize a training program that will develop and murture the
leadership skills and potentials of the teachers. It is also recommended to review the policy of
the school particularly in attending trainings and seminars to ensure that all teachers are given
fair chance and opportunity to upgrade their skills.
