Abstract
Pasong Tamo Elementary School has identified 28 Grade 1 pupils at risk of failing. Further analysis reveal that the problem is attributed to failure to accomplish and submit school requirements in 1st and 2nd Quarter. Factor that was identified causing the alarming problem is lack of parents' support and time. To address this alarming problem, the researcher come up with a solution through root cause analysis. Learning At Home Project is an intervention for Grade One pupils at risk of failing. It is an intervention that uses monitoring tool, home visitation and parents' orientation. Parents will guide their children in accomplishing the school related task and submit the same to the teachers. The study uses quantitative quantitative research design. The program uses monitoring tool. This form consists of the parents' log on school related tasked done with their child, number of hours spent on school related task completed with their child and number of worksheets and performance tasked submitted. The program started by giving parents' orientation on how Learning at home works . After three weeks, the result shows remarkable increase of submitted worksheets and performance task submitted. For other pupils who failed to submit after a month of orientation, home visitation is conducted. In conclusion, the results imply the effectivity of the Learning at Home Project increasing the number of submitted worksheets and performance task. The parents are aware on how to help, guide and support their child in accomplishing school related tasks.
