Abstract
Covid-19 has brought abrupt changes to the education system wherein the immediate closures of educational institutions and postponement of school-related activities were ordered to mitigate the disease. This phenomenon has led to the adoption of learning from traditional to blended. Thus, pupils must embrace these changes that make them anxious. Aside from studying, they also worry about their own and loved ones' health, loss of income, social isolation, and strict health protocols.

This study employed quantitative method of research that concentrates on the numbers of data gathered from the respondents which will be the basis of the researcher to draw conclusions and produce reliable results. The tool has three parts; first is the demographic sketch of the respondents; second is assessment of the level of stress among grade five students using Perceived Stress Scale; and the last one is the open-ended questions which seek to extract information on how pupils deal with stress. The survey was disseminated through Google Forms and responded by 91 pupils. The results of the study will benefit teachers in guiding emotionally challenge pupils during the pandemic and other unexpected situations in the future.
Based on the data gathered, it is highly recommended that schools should provide online mental health services such as (1) creating online support groups consisting of volunteer parents who have background in handling pupils in distress. These volunteers will serve as teacher aids who can conduct online consultations and home visitations to reported problem child. (2) Having 24/7 online consultations which are supervised by mental health professionals that will cater pupils' concerns, and (3) making virtual mental health awareness campaigns. Through these, emotionally drained pupils will have release channels for their anxiety during difficult times.
