Abstract
The aim of the research was to determine the teachers' stress management and their
coping strategies during work from home scheme. The study was conducted in Maligaya
Elementary School. It was conducted during the school year 2020-2021. Teachers are now
faced with a whole different list of problems to be added to their boards because of the
pandemic, and not all of them are specifically relevant to the school. Job tension is further
compounded by the demands of certain teachers to handle their homes when beginning an
academic year in their classrooms. Many teachers had to change their academic methods to
fit interactive schooling. Even things as basic as attendance have become burdensome,
making teachers, parents and students feel worse. It includes in its scope the different stress
indicators that teachers experience during the pandemic. It also presented the various coping
mechanisms utilized by teachers to handle the stress brought about by the New Normal. The
study utilized the Descriptive correlational research method on the other hand the
respondents were chosen using purposive sampling technique. As offshoots of and anchored
on the summary of the findings and the conclusions, the following recommendations are
offered: a. Teachers should continuously elevate their stress coping skills by upgrading their
emotional and intellectual quotient and proficiencies by attending capacity building training
programs and post graduate education. This is significant as professional development is
necessary for teachers to equip themselves & cater seamlessly to the 21st century learners'
needs. b. Teachers should be able to develop and improve their stress coping skills which is
crucial to helping students become lifelong learners. It teaches them essential life skills which
can be used in facing the different challenges personally and professionally. By having
enhanced stress coping skills teachers can engage students in the process of learning in all
aspects especially in this pandemic era.
