Abstract
Nowadays, the world of 21st century education is no doubt that technology has become
an important element in teaching-learning process. Teaching methods has been changing and this is influenced by computer advancements. In teaching Values Education or Edukasyon sa
Pagpapakatao (ESP), technology could be used in techniques and intervention to improves students achievement. It has a power to transform strategy in a new model of teaching.
However, many students have difficulty in the said subject that resulted to poor performance of Grade 7. Their mean percentage of Consolidated Periodic Examination particularly in Second quarter this year are lower than the First quarter. Some students are not focus and easy to distract in studying EsP.
The overall purpose of the study was to create a strategy or intervention that deals in the enhancement of Grade 7 students' classroom performance such as class participation, students* engagement and their interest in the subject Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao. The researcher believed that the said enhancements are solution for the research problem. Through
this study, the researcher also believed in making a digital storytelling could enhance the
classroom performance of the students.
Digital Artwork-Based Storytelling, is the conventional storytelling which transform into technology-based instruction tool. This approach started with the practical application
such as making arts by hands related to the target goal of the lesson. The teacher assisted them what to draw and transform those arts in electronic images with the use of cellphone or gadgets.
The teacher could use those images as material for digital storytelling which reveal the purpose and objectives of the lessons as well as the moral need to understand by the learners. The
traditional form of storytelling could be more powerful and effective with the use of technology since storytelling is found in all types of teaching and learning and it is possible by the use of

DABS. Furthermore, storytelling enhances and enriches the pupils* experience. It introduces them to stories that have true to life worth.
This study made used of Quantitative approach type of action research design with Quasi-experimental research method. The traditional method of storytelling was used by control group and isolated from the experimental group by using the Digital Artwork-Based storytelling intervention and evaluated thru pretest and post test. The researcher compared the results of research-made test (pretest and post test) of the groups to analyze for possible significant differences. The researcher also used questionnaires or survey to the experimental
group regarding the effects of Digital Artwork-based storytelling intervention.
The study found based on the survey and results of post-test that Digital Artwork-
based storytelling (DABS) is effective and a big help to enhance the interest of the learners in studying EsP, class participation and engagement. The lessons are clearly to understand and developed the learners' behavior with their reflections on the story.
With this, the researcher believed that the learners improved their performance. The
participation of the School which provides and help the teachers for ICT seminars and continue
to maintain the better physical structure of the classroom for viewing or have atleast one Audio-
Visual Room for EsP Department and other subject department is really matter for the full effectivity of this intervention.
