During the first year of pandemic, our children's education faced a lot of challenges. Teachers did a collaborative effort to continue deliver our task of educating children. Parents and pupils were seen struggling in coping up with the lessons may it be in the Modular or Online Blended classes. One big struggle is the use of technology. Some of them think that their children might get addicted to online games when spending too much time on scree. The also feel alienated, hence they had no experience with the technology and sometimes feel frustrated when navigating unfamiliar google apps that are used in online blended classes, and the use of Microsoft offices in projects and other class activities that led many parents to throw their hands up in despair. And this is the main reason why this project exists.
This project aims to help parents and pupils feel more comfortable with technology. This was done in a five- session virtual training workshop for parents and pupils with the expertise of the selected teachers who served as trainers in the said activity through google meet. It was held once a week on a Friday for five consecutive weeks. Each session was given three hours of discussion with application of what has being taught. The cost of this project was Php2650.
