Abstract
Nutritional deficiency is increasingly prevalent among school-aged children and affects their ability to study. According to a recent survey by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute, 25.5 percent of school children were malnourished in the country , and San Diego Elementary School could be one contributor to this percentage of malnourished learners.

The school is in full support of the DepEd Memo No. 293, series 2007 "Gulayan sa Paaralan". where in it created a project "Crops in the Clouds" that sustains the innovation "Kusinang Alapaap".

School is a foundation of learning, an avenue where the learners develop their skills in nurturing them to be aware of the importance of planting vegetables in the garden. It is an essential part of addressing its learners' nutrition deficiency, filming cooking nutritious food in the Skyline Kitchen or Kusina sa Alapaap nurtures a healthy life by showcasing the different vegetables planted in the crops in the clouds. The teachers and other stakeholders harvested vegatables in the garden and cooked them at the Skyline Kitchen pf San Diego Elementary School - Batasan Hills Quezon City. It aired on SDES TV. It is necessary for the people who watched the said cooking show, especially the parents and learners, to be updated and knowledgeable about the importance of simple but nutritious food. This project last through the year and cost three thousand pesos (Php3,000.00) for all donations.
