What can we do to assist our beloved parents in seeing their children's grades now
that we are amid a pandemic, and how can we also assist our educators in complying with
the Data Privacy Act now that we are in Distance Learning?
Due to the present pandemic that is hurting our country and the rest of the world, our
school has launched an e-Grade Tracker project that aims to prevent the spread of the virus.
In compliance with our government's safety guidelines, the e-Grade Tracker is one of Balara High School's programs, where parents and students no longer have to go to school to see their grades. Students and parents can see their grades in all areas by entering their LRN
(Learners Reference Number) into the e-Grade Tracker.
The Project was made to have an organized way of tracking the grades of students
from the first grading to the fourth grading period. This eliminated the time frame of distributing hard copies of School Form 9 (before Report Card) and aligned to the guidelines

The proponent of the said project was originated by Mr. Gilbert D. Sediarin, Head Teacher III and Head Teacher-in-charge in Learner's Information System, Enhanced Basic
Education Information System, and Registrar's Office of Balara High School together with
the help of the following personnel: Mrs. Marilyn E. Megabon, LIS Coordinator, Miss Cherry
M. Aragay, Teacher II- Registrar and Mrs. Norigail D. Nicolas, Teacher II- Asst. Registrar of Balara High School which was initiated by our Principal, Gilore E Ofrancia, MTM.

These are the objectives of the project:
1. It aims to simplify the process of distributing School Form 9 (formerly Report Card)
to students. They will not need to go to school and fall in line.
2. To track the students' grades by just entering their LRN to the site with the help of
their parents using their computers, mobile phones, tablets with an internet
connection.
3. And to enhance the use of modern technology in the school and within the vicinity.

The e-Grade Tracker is a portal where a student can find out his grades in each quarter in all subjects by typing his LRN into a google sheet with the help of Vlook-up. This project began in the first quarter of the school year 2020-2021 and will continue until we reach Distance Learning in the current school year 2021-2022. We are now on volume 2 and will
continue until we reach Distance Learning. The required data are the LRN (Learners
Reference Number), which corresponds to the children's names, and a summary of the
advisers' grades in each section at all grade levels, which went via the headteachers, were

The said project spent a total of 39,200 pesos. The laptop cost 38,000 pesos, and the load
encoding all of the children's data, including their grades, cost 300 pesos per quarter.
Thanks to e-Grade Tracker, we have prevented the spread of the virus at the same time as not violating the Data Privacy Act and helped our parents to easily access the grades of their
children. And brought us more enrollee because children are more into social media and it
will be easier for them to access their grades than they are not required to go to the school to
view their Report Card.
