Abstract
This study was geared to identify the level of numeracy skills of grade one learners in Lupang Pangako Elementary School. Specifically, the researcher sought the level in Numeracy of Grade one learners of Lupang Pangako Elementary School, School Year 2021-2022 before and after the use of Project EVEN in addition and subtraction; the significant difference in the result of numeracy test before and after the implementation of the project EVEN; and the continuous improvement plan can be made from the result of the study. This research was quantitative in nature and uses quasi-experimental research design. There are sixteen (16) respondents who complied on the criteria provided by the researcher. Further, this research uses different statistical tool to answer the problems such as mean percentage score, mean, variance, and t-test.
Based on the results of the study, majority of the Grade 1 learners improved the numeracy level in addition and subtraction using the intervention made by the researcher. Moreover, the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference in the result of numeracy test in addition before and after implementation of Project EVEN is failed to accept for both addition and subtraction due to the evidences presented in the study. The changes in the mean of the pretest and posttest denoted that there is significant difference in the numeracy level of the Grade 1 pupils. And, the researcher will made some modification on the activities, strategies, assessment on the second version of Project EVEN.
